Refund policy
Return Policy
We want you to be confident buying from Reservolt. This policy applies to orders placed on reservolt.com.au for delivery within Australia only.
30-Day Returns
You have 30 days from the date you receive your item to request a return.
To be eligible for a return, your item must be:
- Unused and in the same condition you received it
- In its original packaging, including all cables, mounting hardware, and accessories
- Accompanied by your receipt or proof of purchase
Because our products are power equipment with batteries inside, we also require that the unit has not been installed, wired in, or connected to a power source beyond a basic function check. Units that have been used, charged, or installed cannot be accepted for change-of-mind returns — this is standard across the power equipment industry, since a used battery is a different product to a new one and can't be resold as new.
To start a return, contact us at info@reservolt.com.au. Once approved, we'll send you return instructions and a shipping label. Please don't send anything back before requesting a return — because our products contain lithium batteries, they're classified as dangerous goods for freight purposes, and returns need to be booked through the correct carrier and packaging process for safety and compliance reasons. Items sent back without an approved return, or packed in a way that doesn't meet dangerous goods shipping requirements, may be refused by our carrier.
Damages, Defects, and Transit Issues
Please inspect your order as soon as it arrives. If it's arrived damaged, appears faulty, or you've received the wrong item, contact us immediately at info@reservolt.com.au with photos of the item and packaging. Do not attempt to use a damaged battery unit, and do not attempt to ship a damaged lithium battery back to us yourself — because of dangerous goods regulations, we'll arrange the correct collection method with you directly.
Your Rights Under Australian Consumer Law
Nothing in this policy limits your rights under the Australian Consumer Law. Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure, and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have goods repaired or replaced if they fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.
Exceptions / Non-Returnable Items
The following cannot be returned for change of mind:
- Any item that has been used, installed, or had its battery charged
- Items with removed or broken safety seals or tamper-evident packaging
- Clearance, final sale, or as-is listed items
- Gift cards
Exchanges
The fastest way to get the right item is to return your original purchase, and once that return is approved, place a new order for the item you'd prefer.
Refunds
Once we've received and inspected your return, we'll let you know whether it's been approved. If approved, you'll be refunded to your original payment method within 10 business days. Bank and card providers can take a little longer to process and display the refund on their end. If more than 15 business days have passed since we approved your return and you haven't seen the refund, contact us at info@reservolt.com.au.
